* Regarding the LiI detector - the DAQ is fixed by switching the USB cable to another port - the detector will collect more than two weeks of background data - an amplifier that doesn't modify the pulse shape is used to reduce random noise events - start new measurements with the Am-Be source - check the pulse shape of different particles and look at the detector's capabilities for particle identification - a new scintillator LaBr (5cm*5cm) is available (finding an optimal PMT for photons at around 300 nm), possibly used in a new geometry for gagg detector * Characterizing α peaks for the GAGG detector - correct the timestamp: timestamp = timestamp_s + timestamp_us*1.e-9 - see the delayed coincidence of the Rn->Po and Ra->Rn from Th, see https://wiki.sites.lngs.infn.it/doku.php?id=gagg-nd:study_of_alpha_spectrum - checking 235U decay chains as well, finding out what the most energetic alpha peak belongs to
