Regarding the GAGG detector
Gio gave the talk about the gagg detector and got good response at the LRT conference
fixed the Octopus bugs and added new features for the PSD, details see
https://wiki.sites.lngs.infn.it/doku.php?id=gagg-nd:processed_data_v2
ideas about determining the half-life of the 152Gd alpha decay (Q = 2204 keV)
147Sm contamination (alpha decay with a Q-value of 2311 keV) in the low energy alpha peak
perform the icpms
order a new GAGG wafer and try to operate it as a bolometer which would have a much better energy resolution
Next step
independent determination for the internal contaminations
try to look for coincidence analysis:
214
Bi (alphas) →
214
Po (beta/gamma)
finalize the delayed coincidence analyses by the end of October
aim to submit our paper by the end of November at least
