• Regarding the LiI detector
    1. the DAQ is fixed by switching the USB cable to another port
    2. the detector will collect more than two weeks of background data
    3. an amplifier that doesn't modify the pulse shape is used to reduce random noise events
    4. start new measurements with the Am-Be source
    5. check the pulse shape of different particles and look at the detector's capabilities for particle identification
    6. a new scintillator LaBr (5cm*5cm) is available (finding an optimal PMT for photons at around 300 nm), possibly used in a new geometry for gagg detector
  • Characterizing α peaks for the GAGG detector
    1. correct the timestamp: timestamp = timestamp_s + timestamp_us*1.e-9
    2. see the delayed coincidence of the Rn→Po and Ra→Rn from Th, see https://wiki.sites.lngs.infn.it/doku.php?id=gagg-nd:study_of_alpha_spectrum
    3. checking 235U decay chains as well, finding out what the most energetic alpha peak belongs to
