The source was placed in front of the detector, inside the borated-PE shielding, with an additional 5cm thick layer of standard PE as a moderator. An additional 5cm thick lead shielding was placed inside the borated-PE on the sides and above the detector. On April 10, at 14:10, the lead shield was removed and the AmBe measurement restarted with the borated-PE and the PE moderator only. On April 11, at 11:50, the PE moderator was removed and a 20x10x5cm Cu brick was placed between the source and the detector to suppress the 4.4 MeV gamma and to mimick the neutrons from (alpha,n) reactions in the crystal.
